Every name begins somewhere

You begin as an unknown eighteen-year-old with modest means and a name few remember. What will your descendants inherit?

Shape a life through work, trade, service, crime, and faith. Build a family, prepare an heir, and carry your House into the next generation, in a world you share with other players.

The life

Make your name

Travel between Norman towns, earn your keep, and build your reputation. Your choices shape your opportunities, and the obligations that follow.

  • Work and trade. Take quests and contracts, trade at markets, cook and craft.
  • Take to the road. Buy a horse, hire escorts, forage, and camp beyond the town gates.
  • Rise in the world. Acquire holdings and land, or serve a patron.
  • Choose your side of the law. Trade lawfully, or steal and smuggle and risk the guards and the prison.

Share the world

One persistent Normandy, lived in by other players.

  • Talk. Town, regional, trade, and faction chat, and private letters between players.
  • Organise. Create or join player-run factions.
  • Deal. Buy and sell through market listings.
  • Ally. Form marriages between player Houses.
  • Contend. Risk asynchronous conflict through caravan interceptions.
